Description
Object Teacher Children's Book Page 3 FRAMED, McLOUGHLIN BROS 1884 New YorkThis is Page 3 from the Object Teacher Children’s Book featuring a sidesaddle riding woman on her horse with pictures of all the gear that is part of riding horses and taking care of horses. I have framed this in an antique frame so a horse loving child could enjoy it in their bedroom or in a tack room. The image has a Town Sign that says Hoyts Mills and Katonah, towns in New York State.
The illustrator was C.J. Howard and was published by McLoughlin Brothers, New York in 1884.
This was an entrancing book - one that you could truly time travel with, and imagine yourself a child in the late nineteenth century, seeking knowledge of, and dreaming about, a wider world. The original book had five heavy card stock leaves, with bright chromolithographic illustrations on twelve sides, including the cover, of a selection of objects, including animals, tools, toys, furniture, sporting paraphernalia, clothing, etc.The illustrations were bright.
There is soiling on this Page 3 and 4 Board. Image shown is only Page 3. The Page image measures 12-1/8” by 8-3/4”, the frame measures 13-1/2” x 10-1/2”.
Photo’s 10, 11, 12 are images of the original book, this is not included in the listing.
