These hinges will replace most  plastic hinges that Igloo cooler comes standard with.

After having to replace my plastic hinges on my Igloo coolers several times after minimal use I decided to find an alternative, I found and installed them on my cooler and they work great.
There has to be people as frustrated as I with the plastic hinges Igloo provides so I bought some extras and am offering them here on eBay.
You do need to drill some holes
but we are talking plastic here, and actually you probably could do it without drilling but I suggest drilling small pilot holes to keep it simple, be aware these are not a direct replacement for 24012 hinge.
They are a little more money than plastic hinges the big difference is you probably will never have to replace them again, so you are saving money in the long run.
These hinges require stainless screws I will do 2 buy it now auctions one with the screws and another auction being hinges only and you can use your own screws. These stainless steel hinges allow for 6 mounting screws per hinge that alone make them stronger and more reliable than the plastic hinges which only had 4 mounting screws. I have included a couple picture showing the cooler I repaired using these hinges.
I have also included a picture showing the old plastic hinge next to the stainless hinges for size comparison.
BEWARE of the fire hose hinges listed here on ebay they have fabric in them that will hold bacteria, mold and smell over time they are not sanitary if you use your cooler for food storage especially fish. If you are going to go that route just cut up and old belt and drill some holes in it.
