    Used cable nose band - this is a adjustable nose band - it is fairly long 19" below bracket   - it has grim on it ( come straight out of the tack room) - I see no breaks or cracks in the metal or cable  -I would put leather covering over the nose band - this would make a strong adjustable tie down nad last for a long time.
