American Lock 1100 Cutaway Cutout Practice Padlock for Locksport or Display

Description

This is an American Series 1100 padlock which I've cut away on one side with a CNC machine so you can see the internals.
Great as a visual aid for locksport or as a collector/display piece.
Fully functional and comes with 2 keys. Includes 5 pin stacks (with 5 serrated driver pins), with the 6th chamber left empty by the manufacturer.
The cutaway is on the right side of the lock, as viewed from the bottom of the lock with the pins at the top. The 1100 cannot be cut on the left side due to the internal design of the lock.
This is the exact lock you will be getting. Please check via the photo of the keys that the bitting on this lock is acceptable for your preference/skill level before purchase. Note also that there are 5 security (serrated) driver pins.
There may be a few small imperfections due to the manufacture or machining process.

Q: Why is this cutaway listed as "used?"
A: eBay considers my cutaways as "modified items," and advised me to list them as used even though I purchase them brand new prior to machining them out.
Q: Do cutaways "feel" different to pick than non-cutaway padlocks?
A: In my opinion, not much.
Q: Can you cut away this lock on the other side?
A: No. The 1100 and many other locks have a hidden screw assembly that obscures the cylinder from view if the cutout was on the opposite side. It's a little annoying for us right-handed pickers, but that's just how the lock was designed by the manufacturer.
